ICH Guidelines on Thalassemia offers quality and evidence-based information for clinicians and other health professionals to help them in their effort to provide the best possible treatment to the patients under their care. Thalassemia often leads to iron overload and multiple organ involvement requiring involvement and expert opinion of health professionals at several levels and different specialties. It is because of this reason that this guideline included health professionals of various disciplines and emphasized the need for multidisciplinary care.
